SNF Site Visit, Year 9: 22-23 May 2023

The NCCR Site Visit will take place on 22-23 May 2023 at the Geneva Observatory in Versoix.
The first day will be dedicated to achievements and science and the second day will deal with management aspects.

All PlanetS members (in particular PhD students, postdocs and senior scientists) are expected to be there on the first day, Monday 22 May, and associates are welcome.
The second day, Tuesday 23 May, is reserved for the PlanetS board and platform members and the domain spokespersons.

Venue:
The Site Visit will take place at the Geneva Observatory in Versoix (Chemin Pegasi 51). It is possible to reach the Observatory with public transportation (train + bus 55 + 500m walk in the wood along the chemin Pegasi, follow the signs). In attachment you will find a time table and driving instructions. If you take the public transportation, please take an outward and return journey to Geneva inclusif the upgrade “City Geneva”. This will permit you to use the local bus to the Observatory too.

Reimbursements
The NCCR will reimburse travel expenses for members and associates:

UBE members & UBE associates purchase their train tickets using the SBB Business Travel tool. When they purchase the tickets, they need to select the cost center of PlanetS, then REF 17-219 and indicate the reason of their trip in one of the reference field. Tickets purchased in a different way will not be reimbursed. No travel request form is needed.

UGE, UZH, ETZH members & UGE, UZH, ETZH UGE associates claim the reimbursement of their travel costs at their home institution following the usual local procedure and forms:
– UGE: ask for reimbursement to Franca.Costa@unige.ch. Fund is MENAGE OB5319.
– UZH: ask for reimbursement to solomon.ofosuappea@uzh.ch.
– ETHZ, Institut für Geochemie und Petrologie: ask for reimbursement to
diane.mantel@erdw.ethz.ch.
