I am working on using machine learning to develop atmospheric retrieval methods.

How did you get into this research/work field?
I did my undergraduate in mathematics, but I found a much greater satisfaction during my masters in astrophysics where I was able to apply the skills and techniques I had learnt and see physical results.

What would be the greatest discovery you would like to see in your life time?
Confirmation of biosignatures on an exoplanet.

You work for the NCCR PlanetS. What do you think will the NCCR enable you to do you couldn’t do without it?
Working alongside and collaborating with other like-minded planetary scientists is a wonderful opportunity provided by the NCCR.
