Open house day
On the occasion of the inauguration of its new building, the Astronomical Observatory of the University of Geneva invites you to an open house on 2nd July 2016.
You will be able to visit the new clean room in which the Observatory is building a high-resolution spectrograph measuring the mass of planets identical to ours. You can also see the mechanics, electronics and optics shops. You will travel into space through 3D animations and if the weather permits you can admire the sun with instruments.
Astronomers as well as the technical and administrative staff will be available for you to discover their professions and answer questions from 10AM to 5PM on Saturday, 2nd July 2016 at the Observatory.
