Dear fellow Swiss-based astronomers,

This is an announcement of the Swiss edition of the ESA JWST Master Class Workshop to be held on the 23rd and 24th of March, 2020 in Bern. The workshop is organized within ESA’s framework of preparing the community for the JWST Cycle 1 call for proposals, based on hands-on training materials supplied directly by ESA.

The Swiss JWST Workshop will consist of the first ‘core’ day and a second ‘bonus’ day.
Plan for Day 1: Cycle 1 call for proposals details, available proposal tools, available observing science modes, proposals preparation roadmap, hands-on tools: initial exercises using the proposal preparation tools
Plan for Day 2: more in-depth training on JWST observing modes and science highlights to-be with the JWST
