The platforms DACE and CHEOPS  provide the essential structuring elements in the research programme of PlanetS. They build the skeleton upon which collaboration and synergy between the projects can develop. The academic as well as the communication and outreach platforms provide the tools for the coordination and promotion of young scientists, especially women, and the means for communication with school children and the general public. They also coordinate a large programme of outreach activities ranging from activities carried out in schools to participating in museum exhibits.
