Change of personnel in the communication and outreach team
In the spring of this year, Barbara Vonarburg retired. Barbara was part of the communication and outreach team of the NCCR PlanetS from the beginning. As a highly skilled science journalist with experience in both print media and Swiss television, she brought important skills to our team. During her time at PlanetS, Barbara has written countless articles and produced videos that have brought the content of our NCCR closer to the general public and thus gradually made PlanetS better known. We would like to take this opportunity to thank her once again for her great efforts.
With the retirement of Barbara Vonarburg, the team started looking for a suitable successor, and found one in Arian Bastani. Arian has a background in climate science (ETH) and has been working in TV and print science journalism for over two years. Although introductions have been difficult under the current circumstances, he’s enjoyed the work so far and is looking forward to telling the stories of the scientific discoveries and projects by all the talented people under the PlanetS roof.
