Optimal determination of planetary physical and orbital parameters
The goal of this sub-project is to better determine basic physical parameters of planets, understand the diversity of planetary systems, with a special emphasis on solid low-mass planets. The determination of planetary physical properties using combined data obtained from various sources (different instruments, techniques, or nature) represents an important improvement with regards to parameters obtained from individual approaches. We will focus here on the tools for an optimum determination of basic physical parameters of planets and system architecture, with a special emphasis on their global statistical distribution. Statistical properties of planet sub-populations (different planet and host star characteristics, different environments) provide priceless observational constraints in this context.
