Nowadays, I am the NIRPS’s Software System Engineer, and within a team, working to get ready HARPS’s red arm.

How did you get into this research/work field?
While my summer intern at Gemini observatory, Chile, I’ve started my relation between software and astronomy, and then, I discovered how exciting is to me, to experience how several engineering fields can contribute to astronomy. First, I’ve started helping to the telescopes’s problems diagnosis and maintenance at Gemini Observatory, later making/testing/maintaining ESO’s telescopes/VLTI and instruments control systems, nowadays, participating in scientific software for ESPRESSO, and again, in control software for NIRPS, at UNIGE. In all the projects, surrounded by excellent teams.

What would be the greatest discovery you would like to see in your life time?
Mankind being able to explore and move out the Earth.
You work for the NCCR PlanetS. What do you think will the NCCR enable you to do you couldn’t do without Get involved across several fields of engineering on my daily work, turns it dynamic, exciting, and the same time, a big source of technical knowledge.
